Gene + Julia || Intimate in-home session, Red Whale Rentals, Cincinnati, OH

You probably know by now, but in-home couple sessions are among my absolute favorite types of sessions I offer. Mainly, because there’s just something about being at home and in your “safe place”, or “comfort zone” with your person that just simply changes the way my clients interact with me and, overall, makes for a super fun, personal and intimate gallery.

I’m finally getting to blogging this intimate session with Julia and Gene, who were awesome! I want my photos to be meaningful and invaluable to whoever I photograph. Why take photos that don’t hold sentimental value to those in them? These two were a perfect couple to photograph… Julia is so easy to work with and knows her angles, and Gene just loves her so freaking much that it was easy to feel and photograph the connection between these two. For my intimate sessions I find that keeping wardrobe simple is best. No need for fancy hair and makeup or elaborate wardrobe. This is the good stuff that I love to photograph.
